Top 11 "Myanmar Idol" contestants meet media by Myanmar International Radio
Top 11 "Myanmar Idol" contestants met media for the first time on Saturday at Melia Hotel. In the Season 4 of the reality TV show, top 11 contestants were unveiled after intense round of results over the past months.
The contestants come from all over the country from the 5 big cities of Taunggyi, Mandalay, Taungoo, Hpa-An and Yangon. The mobile casting was also conducted in Kalaw, Pindaya, Meikhtila, Monywa, Shwebo, Pyay, Pyinmana, Mawlamyaine, Bago and Pathein.
The Season 4 also introduced two new judges, the country's acclaimed singer and artist, Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein and Aung Ko Latt, Judge, Myanmar Idol gave his comment on the Season 4.
"I must say the experience and the momentum we have gathered over the season 1, 2 and 3 make the season 4 a success. I would agree this is the program which serves as a strong support for the youths with passion in music. It is quite different from our times in the past, we had to struggle a lot to make it this far."
The winner will receive 50 million Kyats cash prize from Moon Myanmar media, solo album release, 2 bed-room apartment from City Loft as well as 20 million kyats cash prize from the official smartphone partner Oppo.
Daw Nang Mauk Long Seng, Executive Project Director of Myanmar Idol also said, "Over 30000 contestants from over 20 cities and places came for the season 4. It's a huge jump in number from last year. From this considerable amount of contestants, now we are here to introduce the top 11 selection contestants to media. We are making the season 4 better, to include the better programs and learnt from the lessons gained in previous seasons.
So to help with the audience in voting, we have uploaded announcement and clear detailed instructions on Myanmar Idol Facebook page.
We have prepared a lot in systems including Voting System, the audience now can vote not
only through SMS voting from MPT, Oordeoo,and Mytel but also from online voting, and website voting.
"I also don't want the audience to argue on the votes. I just want audience to see this program as one which helps the amateur singers, contestants to make their dreams come true. The program, designed to help them become singers. We all are aware that winning at this contest is not deciding factor for their success as singers in life but just an assistance to their passion.?
The Performance of Myanmar Idol Season 4 will be broadcast starting from October 31 every Thursday and Friday.
