Serge Pun @ Theim Wai

Executive Chairman

Mr. Serge Pun is a Myanmar national and the Chairman of Serge Pun & Associates (Myanmar) Limited (“SPA”). In 1983, Mr. Pun founded Serge Pun & Associates Limited in Hong Kong SAR and eventually returned to the country of his birth to establish SPA in 1991. In 1992, Mr. Pun established First Myanmar Investment Company Limited (“FMI”) as one of the earliest public companies (unlisted) in Myanmar. In 2006, he led Yoma Strategic to a successful listing on the mainboard of the Singapore Stock Exchange, and in 2016, FMI became the first company to list on the Yangon Stock Exchange.

Mr. Pun is a member of the World Economic Forum’s ASEAN Regional Strategy Group and ASEAN Regional Business Council. He is a standing member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of Dalian and a member of the Asia Business Council. He is the Chair of the International Advisory Board of Singapore Management University for Myanmar, the Vice-Chairman and CEO of New Yangon Development Company (“NYDC”) and served as an Honorary Business Representative for Myanmar of International Enterprise Singapore from 2004 till 2006. Mr. Pun is a frequent speaker in international forums on Myanmar and ASEAN.

Re-appointed to the Board of Yoma Strategic on 26 July 2017, Mr. Pun is the Executive Chairman of Yoma Strategic.

Melvyn Pun Chi Tung

CEO and Executive Director

Mr. Melvyn Pun was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Yoma Strategic in 2015, driving the move to diversify the Group’s businesses along the core businesses while building its recurring income streams. He has been extensively involved in developing the Group’s relationships with key partners, including Mitsubishi Corporation, IFC, ADB, Yum! Brands, New Holland, JCB, Telenor and Pernod Ricard, amongst others.

Prior to joining SPA, Mr. Pun spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, where he was Managing Director, Head of Asia Ex-Japan Corporate Solutions Group. In that role, he has provided financial and corporate advisory services to corporates and non-profit organisations in Asia Pacific for fund raising, investments and risk management. Mr. Pun is a founding member and an executive committee member of the Myanmar Institute of Directors. He serves on the Asia Pacific Council for The Nature Conservancy and is a Board Member of OneSky, a charity that helps the world’s vulnerable young children. He is also a Malaria Private Sector Leaders Advocate for the M2030 initiative, an effort organised by the Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance (“APLMA”) to eliminate malaria by the year 2030.

Appointed to the Board of Yoma Strategic on 27 July 2015, Mr. Pun is an Executive Director and the Chief Executive Officer of Yoma Strategic.

JR Ching


Mr. JR Ching joined the Group in May 2013 and was appointed as Chief Financial Officer in May 2015 to oversee the Group’s financial functions and strategic business development. 

Prior to this role, he served as the Group’s Head of Business Development where he was responsible for developing the Group’s businesses and new business areas, overseeing acquisition and investment opportunities and reviewing the Group’s overall business strategy. Mr. Ching also oversees the Group’s KFC Myanmar business. 

Mr. Ching graduated as a Morehead Scholar from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with the Highest Distinction. He then spent over a decade at Goldman Sachs in the Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities, Capital Markets and Investment Banking Divisions in London and Hong Kong, where he was most recently the Head of Structured Finance for the Asia-Pacific ex-Japan region. Mr. Ching has extensive financial and corporate experience in a wide range of business sectors and has executed investing, financing and risk management transactions across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America. 

Tun Tun

Executive Director - First Myanmar Investment

U Tun Tun joined the FMI Group in 1998. He has been an Executive Director of FMI since 2009 and currently also serves as FMI’s Chief Operating Officer. Over the years, he has held various positions at both operational and corporate levels, and has overseen many of the FMI Group’s companies and joint ventures. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (UK).

Stephen Purvis

Head of Yoma Land

Mr. Stephen Purvis was appointed as the Head of Yoma Land in February 2019. He has been with the Group since 2013 and was the Project Director and subsequently the General Manager for Yoma Central since 2015. He also spearheaded the master planning of StarCity. Mr. Purvis has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate market including developing substantial mixed-use city centre projects in emerging and developed markets. 

Prior to joining the Group, Mr. Purvis was a director at Coral Capital Group Ltd, a Cuba-focused country fund, where he oversaw long-term equity real estate projects, including the design, funding, construction and operation of a portfolio of hotels under the Hotel Saratoga brand. Notably, he master planned the new container port and economic zone of Mariel with partner Dubai Ports World and was also the project manager for high profile clients such as the Prince of Wales Foundation. 

Mr. Purvis is a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and holds a Bachelors of Arts (Hons) Degree in Architecture from Newcastle University, England and a Bachelors in Architecture from Westminster University, England. 

Daniel West

Managing Director of SPA DPS

Mr. West was appointed as the Managing Director of SPA Design and Project Services Ltd. in 2017 and has been with the company from 2013. In his capacity he has been responsible for the design and delivery of many of Yoma Land’s development programs. These include leading master planning activities for its landbank, providing design services for internal and related parties and project management for selected development projects.

In years prior to joining Yoma Land, Mr. West worked at ALDAR Properties in several capacities in the management of development, design, and delivery. Notable projects include Yas Island’s West Yas, Yas Acres, Yas Links, Ansam, and the recently opened Warner Bros. Theme Park. 

As a consultant, he has provided advice to blue chip Clients across the US, Middle East, and Southeast Asia: Lotte Group, EMAAR, Nakheel, DAMAC Properties, Ghanem Holdings, White Lodging, Golub and Company and Forest City. 

Mr. West holds a M. Arch. and B.Sc. degree from the University of Michigan and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.  

Le Le Win

Chief Advisor Estate Management

Daw Le Le Win currently serves as the Managing Director of F.M.I Garden Development Limited as well as an Alternate Director of SPA. She joined SPA/FMI Group in 1993.

Tin Winn Nge

General Manager Estate Management

Ms. Tin Winn Nge was appointed as the General Manager for StarCity in July 2017. She joined the Group in 2002 and has served in various positions, including extensive experience in sales and marketing, hotel management and real estate management. 

Ms. Tin graduated with a Bachelor Degree from Yangon University and then furthered her studies in hotel and restaurant management, receiving a diploma from the United States.

Jonathan Hegarty

General Manager Estate Management

Mr. Jonathan Hegarty was appointed General Manager of Pun Hlaing Estate in early November 2019. Mr Hegarty comes with a solid and outstanding track record in integrated resorts and hospitality management. He managed resorts in China, France, Turkey and most recently Club Med Bintan Island, Indonesia.


Well versed in finance, human resources, operational, recreational & leisure activities, maintenance, golf and food & beverage services management, Mr Hegarty is customer centric and believes the financial performances of the company is directly related to the level of customers’ satisfaction. During his tenure at Club Med, Mr Hegarty and team were awarded highest rating and accolade for clients’ satisfaction; and created history by breaking the resort’s financial record for utmost outstanding business results since opening.


Along with his career experience, Mr. Hegarty qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Hospitality from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

Nathan Harrison

Project Director

Mr. Nathan Harrison joined the group in 2013 as a Senior Project Manager and was promoted to Project Director in 2014. During his time with the company Mr. Harrison has been involved with various development projects throughout Myanmar ranging from Hospitality, Hospitals, Residential, Commercial and Academic projects.


As of 2017, Mr. Harrison has filled the role of Project Director on the StarCity Estate development.
Mr. Harrison has more than 20 years of construction and development experience having worked in America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. While in America Mr. Harrison worked for 3 general contractors listed in the Top 25 Contractors in America. In Asia and Africa Mr. Harrison worked for a Design and Build general contractor delivering US Embassies. During his time in the Middle East, Mr. Harrison worked for the largest developer in Abu Dhabi.

Mr. Harrison has a Bachelor degree of Engineering from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana and an Associate degree in Engineering from New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico.

Iain Fairbairn 

Project Director

Mr. Iain Fairbairn joined Yoma Land in October 2017, arriving with more than 30 years’ experience working for Architects, Project Managers, Owners and Developers and completing projects for blue chip and Fortune 500 companies from across the UK, USA, Middle East, Macau and now Myanmar.


Initially working for architects has provided Mr. Fairbairn with a strong design, technical and contract background and the second half of his career he moved into client roles providing him with a deeper understanding of the development cycle including project business planning, financial and leasing as well as working with 3rd party operators, giving a more critical way to analyse design and construction issues to provide best value solutions.


With a hands on approach and leading by example being central to Iain’s modus operandi, he also sees empowerment at all levels as critical to project’s success.


Mr. Fairbairn is a Member, Chartered Institute of Building in the UK and has a passion for contract and construction law as well as high quality construction.  

Philippe Cardot

Project Director

Mr. Cardot joined Yoma Land in 2014. He is an experienced Director in property development, engineering and construction industries for 25 years. His strategic and practical approach, extensive experience in managing and motivating multicultural teams in Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia; and responsible approach to financial management demonstrate his broad senior management capabilities.

Mr. Cardot has a track record of delivering projects within diverse environments on schedule and budget; and is currently leading the project management team for the Peninsula Yangon project. This prestigious luxury hotel project comprises the development and renovation of the former Myanmar Railways Head Quarter, a heritage building, which dates from the 1870s and which is one of the oldest existing colonial buildings in Yangon. 

Nwe Nwe Tun

Project Director

Ms. Nwe Nwe Tun was appointed as Project Director at Real Estate in May 2017. She has been with the group since Oct 2015 and was the Project Manager. She graduated from Mandalay Technological University with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and then had the Master of Science (Civil Engineering) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Matthew Hill

Project Director

Mr. Matthew Hill was appointed as the Project Director for construction projects at Pun Hlaing Estate in March 2019. Prior to this current role, he was the Project Controls Director for Yoma Land since 2015 which included the Cost and Contracts and QHSE teams that were actively involved in all projects at Pun Hlaing Estate and Thanlyin Star City.
Mr. Hill has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry and has successfully delivered a wide range of projects in Vietnam, UAE, Australia and New Zealand. Prior to joining the Group, Mr. Hill was a Commercial Manager at Taisei Corporation, a tier one international Main Contractor working on a range of projects including Terminal 2 of Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Mr. Hill is a chartered member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Building Science degree from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. 

Yamin Dutta

Head of Asset Management

Ms. Yamin Dutta joined the Group in 2012, started as Financial controller for development entities and from 2014 in charge of financial reporting and financial management of Yoma Land and is the head of the finance staff division-wide. 


Ms Dutta studied Chartered Accountancy in United Kingdom and has worked as Finance Manager, Cost Controller and Financial Controller in United Kingdom, Vietnam, Thailand, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Bahrain, Jordan, Djibouti, Kenya and United Arab Emirates. Her experiences in managing finances over 25 years range from Entertainment, Pharmaceutical, Hospitality, Service, and Automotive & After sale Services Industries to primarily Construction and Real Estate Industry. 


Ms. Dutta is a Charted Accountant and in addition holds a Bachelors Degree in International Relations.

Paul Anslow

Head of Investment Management

Mr. Paul Anslow has been with the group since 2014, originally in the role of Development Manager for Yoma Land’s flagship project ‘Yoma Central’, and more recently as Head of Investment Management at head office. His team are responsible for all aspects of real estate market research, strategy, investment, financing, and valuation, as well as corporate finance functions. 

Mr. Anslow holds two Masters degrees with distinction from the Universities of Bristol and London (SOAS), in Civil Engineering and Finance & Financial Law (graduating Top of the Year). He is also a UK Chartered Engineer as well as a CFA Charterholder.

Aye Aye Mon

Senior Manager Property Affairs

Ms. Aye Aye Mon joined Serge Pun and Associates (SPA) as the Assistant Co-ordinator at the Corporate Secretarial Team in 2001. A Botany Science graduate, Ms. Aye started her career at the Supreme Court in 1987 before venturing into the private sector specialising in import and export business in 1992. Her tenure at the trading company gave her ample opportunities to communicate with the various governmental agencies.

At SPA, Ms. Aye Aye Mon managed Corporate Affairs and Land Rights Issue pertaining to taxes on property sales and purchase. She was also the key liaison with the Department of Housing pertaining to land grant, ownerships and compensation. In 2016, Ms. Aye Aye Mon was appointed Senior Manager of Property Affairs at Yoma Land.

Ms. Aye Aye Mon holds a Graduate Diploma in Japanese from the Institute of Foreign Language in 1991, Graduate Diploma in Buisness Law in 2004. 

Kenneth See

Managing Counsel

Mr. Kenneth See has been working with Yoma since late 2014. Prior to that, he was a practising lawyer in Malaysia and Singapore, handling primarily commercial litigation and arbitration matters. Mr. See has been active in his professional capacity outside of work. He served on the Young Lawyers Committee with the Law Society of Singapore as Vice-Chairperson (2012 & 2013) and Chairperson (2014). He was also a pro bono solicitor with the Legal Aid Bureau under the Ministry of Law, Singapore.

Angelitta Myint Yu Yu Khine

Finance Director

Ms. Angelitta Myint Yu Yu Khine brings with her over 15 years’ experience in accounting, finance and assurance from working in Singapore, Australia and Myanmar. Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in successful transformation of Finance functions; most recently at KBZ Bank Limited, growing the Finance team members from accountants to professional financial analysts, finance managers and finance leaders.

Valentina Lwin Bailey

HR Director

Ms. Valentina Lwin Bailey is an experienced HR practitioner with a strong focus on organization and leadership development, workforce planning and change management. Much of her 25-year career has been in Australia working in education, training and employment sectors covering a range of roles in HR, L&D, diversity and inclusion, service excellence, research and policy development.

After being away for 30 years, Ms. Lwin Bailey returned to her place of birth in 2017 to take up a HR leadership role with Ooredoo Myanmar. Ms. Lwin Bailey is passionate about development of Myanmar people, and contributes whenever possible through education of youth, women empowerment and outreach programs.
